Great parks make great communities
Concept E: YOU DECIDE.
After years of advocacy and efforts spearheaded by individuals that frequently use the current skatepark, the Town of Salisbury is working towards creating a new skatepark as part of the Partridge Brook Park Project. A new and improved Skatepark is going to be built at Partridge Brook Park. PBP, located behind Salisbury Elementary School, currently houses 4 fields, Dog Park, and an ADA compliant playground. The future skatepark will follow the latest design trends and incorporate features to accommodate multiple user groups, as well as varied skill levels. Public involvement has been an important aspect in designing the Skatepark. The town has a hosted a number of public listening forums, workshops, and other opportunities to share thoughts, comments and concerns. Using his expertise coupled with community input, Brad Siedlecki, Pillar Designs, has fine tuned his designs to these two that are felt to best serve our unique community.
Funds for the design and build of the Salisbury Skatepark will be provided by PARC Grant funding. In addition to the skate park, plans include soccer, lacrosse, flag football fields, a playground, solar trash cans, tree plantings, trails, adult playing areas, additional utility playing field, and enhanced handicapped accessibility to the playground.
